ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. Circa 456/45-431 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 12.08 g). Tortoise with segmented shell. Rev. Incuse square with skew pattern. HGC 6, 437. Meadows, Aegina, Group IIIb. Milbank Period IV, pl. II, 12. A wonderful and very well pedigreed piece, beautifully toned and struck on a very broad, if somewhat irregular, flan. Good very fine.
